ORLANDO, Fla. (Tuesday, July 30, 2024) –Theinternational soccer match between Spain’s FC Barcelona and England’s Manchester City atCamping World Stadium in Orlando will be televised in more than 140 countries worldwide, including a domestic broadcast on ESPN in the United States, match organizers announced. The event kicks off at 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday, July 30.
ESPN Networks will air the match on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes. A full list of broadcasters and territories is available at the end of this release. Global sports marketing agency Sportfiverepresented match organizers in media rights negotiations outside the United States, United Kingdom and Brazil.
All of Manchester City's US Tour gameswill also be broadcast live on CITY+, the club’s premium content subscription. Subscribers can watch all the action live on CITY+ in the following countries: UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Japan, Norway, Sweden and United Arab Emirates.
Tuesday’s exhibition, presented byDIRECTV Soccer Champions Tour and FC Series, will be the 14th overall meeting between Manchester City and Barcelona and the first to be played in the United States.
The sides played four times between 1952 and 1986 but did not face off again until August 2003, when Manchester City officially marked the opening of Etihad Stadium with a 2-1 home victory over the Catalan visitors. Manchester City also claimed a road win at Camp Nou during the 2009 preseason, when Barcelona was coached by current Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Barcelona and Manchester City later met in UEFA Champions League competition in 2014, 2015 and 2016, as well, with Barcelona claiming five of six games.The teams’ most recent match came in August 2022—a 3-3 draw in a friendly at Camp Nou.Tickets for Tuesday’smatchare still on sale via Ticketmaster.com and FCSeries.com.
